The Gray Fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus) is found in most areas of the southern half of North America down through Mexico and into northern parts of South America. Although in many areas it has been driven out by the Red Fox, which isn’t native to the western part of the US but has expanded into the native areas of the gray fox. They gray fox is smaller than the red fox, however unlike the red fox, it readily climbs trees swiftly. The Grey Fox is omnivorous and will supplement it’s diet of small mammals with fruits and vegetables.
